MJN Colston secures Excel Expansion , London

MJN Colston has been appointed on the long awaited prestigious Phase 2 expansion at ExCel , London.

The venue is home to some of London’s top 10 trade events and UK’s largest consumer shows. In 2012 ExCeL London will play a central role in the Olympic Games, hosting a total of 6 Olympic sports and 4 Paralympic events.

The seamless extension to the original building will increase the size of the current event space by over 50% taking it to just under 100,000 square metres and will include a covered pedestrian walkway, a 5,000 seated semi-permanent auditorium , conference & meeting rooms, permanent productions kitchens, enhanced underground car parking spaces and additional flat floor space.

The expansion will provide huge economic benefits to the local community in terms of employment and will bring approximately 1400 new jobs to the area.
