MJN Colston Apprentice scoops JTL Award.

MJN Colston is very proud to have recently attended a Regional Apprentice Award Event which was held by JTL in recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by apprentices across the regions.

With over 650 apprentices in the Northern Region, MJN Colston was honoured that Andrew McDonald a third year apprentice who works out of our North East, Gateshead Office was one of 17 who made it onto the shortlist. Andrew started working for MJN Colston as a craft apprentice and through ambition and sheer determination managed to complete the three year course in just two years.

To make the shortlist in itself is a great personal achievement, however, Andrew then went on to win the overall category for Apprentice of the year for the Northern Region and he was presented with a trophy and a cheque for £500.

As Andy’s employer, MJN Colston also received a trophy and an award for the commitment we show to apprentice training.

Andrew now moves onto the final which is being held in March 2011 where he will represent the Company and the region. We wish Andrew all the best for the final and we are behind him all the way
