The new Nano Technology building which is scheduled to be open in September 2008 is being constructed on what was once the Physics Department car park at the University of Bristol.
The new building is arranged over four levels which includes a basement with three further storeys above. The building will provide a unique interdisciplinary centre with 12 state of the art specialised laboratories whose vibration and noise levels will be amongst the lowest achieved anywhere worldwide.
