M & S Stores (Poole and Taunton)

MJN Colston was responsible for the installation of the mechanical and electrical services during the phase 3 remodel programme.

The remodel consists of complete new lighting layout within the sales floor area’s including display lighting and new mechanical equipment to enhance the environment of the stores with total remote control from their central control in the north of England.

MJN Colston was responsible for the full design of the electrical and mechanical services during the remodel. The electrical works undertaken consisted of replacement sub-mains, fire alarms, security, cctv, intruder alarm, emergency lighting & a complete new lighting control system designed to automatically switch the lighting to suit store opening hours.

The mechanical works undertaken consisted of two packaged air handling units installed on the roof with a fully ducted air system throughout the main sales area’s to maintain a controlled environment. All controlled remotely via the BMS system.
