East Surrey College

East Surrey College in Redhill is set to receive a new world class environmentally friendly education facility as part of a multi-million pound revamp.

The college is currently split into two sites north and south. The aging facilities at Gatton Point North site have been demolished, temporary facilities are provided and all but one building replaced with a new improved learning centre.

MJN Colston have been contracted to procure, install and commission the Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health Services. Specialized Design Packages are part of MJN Colstons package these include New Alternative Fuel Boiler Plant, Solar Energy, Rain Water Harvesting amongst more traditional Contractor Design elements such as; Security, Lightning Protection & BMS Controls. The South site will eventually be sold and the proceeds along with LSC funding will fund the new development.

The new school which will accommodate a throughput of house around 8000 students is due to open its doors in 2010.
