St Chad’s Catholic School, Runcorn

St Chad’s Catholic High School is to become a new joint faith school providing a range of extended services, enabling widened community use in sports, health and behaviour support as well as education. The school itself will provide for approximately 1000 pupils aged 11 to 19 years.

We won the contract to supply the mechanical, electrical and public health services for this complex reconstruction.

Works are being carried out on the existing site and are a combination of new build, alteration and refurbishment. The new build, consists of a sports hall and science block.

The alterations to the old science block will provide new music, drama and SEN facilities. Alterations are also being made to the existing main entrance and old drama room to form a new main entrance and ICT suit. The existing sports hall and gym will be refurbished to form an assembly and multi activity hall. In addition, a new substation is to be built on the site.

The services provided by EI.WHS includes Central Boiler Plant, LPHW heating, comfort cooling air-conditioning, ventilation, mains cold water services, domestic hot water services, public health drainage, gas, automatic BMS controls, LV switchgear, LV distribution, small power, data / Telecommunications, external / internal / Emergency Lighting.
