South Sefton Investment Centre

This £6m landmark facility in South Sefton, Bootle has become the gateway to the town centre.

This five storey building offers 32,000 sq ft of flexible business accommodation and provides much needed managed workspace, it also provide mixed-use areas including meeting rooms and a cafe on the ground floor plus parking for 52 vehicles.

The design incorporates a landmark ‘drum’ which is the service core of the building and features a transparent facade and a colonnaded walkway and was also designed to incorporate a range of innovative ‘green’ technologies.

It is heated by geothermal energy, a natural ventilation system that removes the need for air conditioning and recycled rain water is used in the toilets.

We were responsible for the following services:

Mechanical

Air Conditioning, Low Temperature Hot Water Heating (radiators and underfloor heating system), Domestic Hot & Cold Water, Gas, Soil, Waste and Drainage. Geothermal energy reclaim system using 100m deep boreholes and 55KW Heat Pump, Syphonic Rainwater System, Rainwater Harvesting System, BMS Management System.

Electrical

Small Power, General Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security, Voice & Data Installation, and Lightning Protection.
