Lakenheath Middle School, RAF Feltwell

A new Middle School at RAF Feltwell for the United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) was built to replace the existing middle school that was located in various buildings on the Base.
The school, which can house about 1,100 children, was built in a traditional style in order to blend with the existing base buildings. The completed facility consists of six new two storey buildings linked by a series of corridors. It comprises of general purpose classrooms, art and music rooms, computer and business labs, home economic and industrial arts, learning development areas, a multi purpose hall, sports hall, changing accommodation along with external seating and paved areas, car parking and landscaping.
The school opened its door to its first students in September 2004.
We provided full Mechanical and Electrical services including complex BMS systems which monitor and manage the heating and ventilation systems to maximise energy efficiency.
Control systems have been designed and installed providing economic control of the lighting taking full advantage of natural daylight. IT systems have been provided throughout linking a television studio to classroom projectors and Smart boards
