Empress State Building

MJN Colston was responsible for the supply, delivery, positioning and installation, setting to work, testing and commissioning of the mechanical and public health services.

This £76 million transformation of the Empress State Building provides 43,000 square metres of high quality office accommodation and leisure facilities. Consisting of 30 floors, it ranks amongst the 20 tallest buildings in the UK.

Constructed in a “Y” shape, the buildings top three floors have been entirely rebuilt.

A revolving bar on the 30th floor provides spectacular views across London. Around the base a two storey drum podium has been erected providing a circular base. A separate piazza building accommodates a restaurant and leisure centre.
